Why Training Matters

Owning the game and teaching it effectively are two different things.

Most schools order the Deluxe Game Set, set it up once, and figure out the rest on their own. Teachers run the same one or two versions of the game all year because nobody showed them the other variations, the versatility of the Activity Pack, or how to adapt the game for every ability level.

That is how a great tool starts to feel like just another piece of Physical Education Equipment instead of a full program. The teachers never had the opportunity to experience the game as it was designed to be taught and played.

Our professional development sessions close that gap.

What Districts Are Saying

Training turns a game into a program.

"
After a training using the Activity Pack, I decided to purchase it. We ran a whole unit playing games from the website and used the Activity Pack for games like tic tac toe and flyer frenzy.

Stephanie B.  Ricardo ISD

"
My students love the lessons, my staff has loved it during PD days, and I love it.

Shane W.  Wolf Springs Elementary

"
The presenter provided a wealth of knowledge for our Health and Physical Education teachers. Everyone was extremely complimentary of his presentation and instructional methods.

What Your Team Walks Away With

Choose Your Focus

Three training topics. Pick one, or combine them.

Every session is built for grades K-12 and can be designed specifically for elementary educators, secondary educators, or both.

Focus Area 1

9 Square in the Air Game & Variations

Core training for teachers who already have the Deluxe Game Set. Covers gameplay, class management, and popular variations like Flush, 3-In/3-Out, Beat the Count, and Crowd Rule, plus how to rotate large groups fast and run a tournament format.

Focus Area 2

Activity Pack Implementation

Training for teachers using or considering the Activity Pack alongside their Deluxe Game Set. Covers the skill-building stations and cooperative games inside the Activity Pack and how to weave them into a full unit.

Requires a 9 Square in the Air Deluxe Game Set. The Activity Pack does not include the game set itself.

Focus Area 3

Adapted Physical Education Strategies

Training focused on inclusive practice. Covers modifications and coaching cues that let students of every ability level participate fully, built for Adapted PE teachers and general PE teachers running inclusion classes.

Districts often combine all three.

Pick a single focus area for a 1-2 hour session, or combine two or three topics into a half-day or full-day session for your staff. Tell us your grade bands and priorities when you request a quote and we will build the session around them.

Session Formats & Pricing

Flexible formats and pricing

Every session includes trainer pay, travel, and any required per diem or lodging. Your final quote is based on your location, dates, and chosen format.

Need trainers for more than one school on the same day, or a session outside typical driving distance? Tell us the details when you request your quote and we will build a price around your exact situation.

Common Questions

Let's answer them head-on.

"Do your trainers travel to us?" +

Yes. Sessions are held on-site at your school or district facility. Tier 1 pricing reflects a single trainer within typical driving distance. Travel, per diem, and lodging costs are built into the final quote for farther locations, so there are no surprises after you approve a price.

"Can we combine training topics into one session?" +

Yes. Districts often combine 9 Square in the Air Game & Variations with Activity Pack Implementation and Adapted PE Strategies inside a single half-day or full-day session. That combination is Tier 2 or Tier 3 pricing.

"Is this training aligned with SHAPE America standards?" +

Yes. Every session ties back to SHAPE America's 2024 National Standards, covering motor skill development, teamwork, cooperation, and communication.

"Do you train for elementary, secondary, or both?" +

Both. Tell us your grade bands when you request a quote and we build the session around your elementary staff, your secondary staff, or a combined group.

"Do you offer virtual or recorded training?" +

Right now, our professional development sessions are delivered in person so your staff gets hands-on practice, not a recording. If your district needs a virtual option, mention it when you request your quote and we will see what we can put together.

"How do we pay for this?" +

9 Square in the Air accepts PO and Net 30 for district professional development contracts. Your business office can also request a W-9 and any standard vendor paperwork ahead of the session.
